i feel like my tastes in architecture and design is alot different from a lot of people i follow. jules seems to like spiral staircases and elegant stuff, and nen seems to like amazing locations and crisp design. i can’t stand spiral staircases , only because i would hate the idea of going down them at night for a glass of water, and i don’t think i’m personally clean enough to take care of a nice house in a nice location.
i like those houses that are half underground, only because they seem so cozy and i’d feel really safe underground. i like round doors, and really small spaces. and futons. and when everything is within reach. if i were to have stairs, i’d have each stair be able to open up like a chest and have books and games inside (my grandfather put stairs like this in his camper, and i remember always loving it). i like the above picture, because i remember having a conversation with stanley about wanting to wallpaper my room with newspaper, and he said to make sure that they were all good articles. i think it would be hard to find large, happy articles, so maybe i’ll have to settle for book pages or something.
p.s. i don’t like the skin rug on the floor. i would feel like i’m stepping on a dog or something, because i’ve done that on accident before. :c
i really like the wall paper idea, kitty cat. and i have no idea what i want in a house, but i like pretty colors and comfortable furniture and nice windows so we’ll see how that all works out. also, the stairs sound so amazing. i miss you lizziebee.
